(This poem is dedicated to my daughter and the pleasure and awe I have in being her Father)
The Angels Guardian
Two eyes behold
the face of an Angel.
Pure faith in the God
to whom she cleaves.
But who am I?
Father;
Daddy;
Falling to a knee,
Trembling,
Weeping.
Unworthy to tie the shoe.
Her innocent joy,
My terrible fear.
The Angels Guardian
I am.
